I agree that elite missions should be made much more readily available to all players of all levels of dedication.

The missions shouldn't be allowed to be accessed by all players, because not all players deserve to go there. The alliances that hold the top towns have worked to get to that level, and should be rewarded. I agree with a suggestion earlier on in this thread, that there should be different levels of elite missions, at each of the towns you can hold. This shouldn't be like UW and FoW, where any player can rock up and farm it. This should still be treated as a reward for holding the top towns, because that takes alot of work.

But the point is that it's not *hard* work, it's just the kids that reap faction points while real people work.

Look, to enter an "elite" mission, u dont have to be good at the game, all you need is 500-1000 ppl with basic brain function (no offense to the ppl that hold it). i've tried faction farming and its just not that fun. After an hour or 2 Altrumm or allience battles, i get bored out of my f**king head. And whats the point of playing a video game if u have to be bored.
Also i've noticed that many of the ppl who say it should stay the same are in XoO, TLA or another allience that holds HzH/Cavalon.
Even if A.net made an elite mission for each of the towns being held by an allience it would make it avalible to many more players

Also -- we beat it tonight First elite mission kill, and first Urgoz kill.
I am not in XoO or TLA. Nor were 10 other people in our party.

But one of them was from one of those guilds. Therefore you had to rely on the charity of another to gain entrance into the elite mission.
You and the other 10 members of your group did not earn your way into the mission based on your skill.

Skill...in grinding?
Who is to say the people from those guilds did anything to "deserve" it either?
Face it, it's a reward to a group of people, some of which managed to grind out enough faction to gain control, or make alliances with others to gain control.

Got invited by XoO. No payment, they were recruiting openly. As long as it stays close to that, there's little problem with that.
FoW and UW are restricted too, which actually means they can stay at higher/better loot levels, and they become a special area.
Nobody cares about sorrow's furnace except for farmers. Getting a quest party there has been impossible since first week after it came out.
Tombs were ok until all the greens were abundant, then nobody cared for it, except for, again, farmers.
In addition, once you get inside, you can log out the character, and it will stay inside the elite mission area.
So this restriction might actually have a positive effect, since the area will be controlled with regards to farming, and people who will go in there, will go for the mission, or if they don't they could as well get blacklisted.
It's still too early to say, but it will most likely work out for the better. And from what it looks like now, you could also be happy, that people who grind keep this trouble away from you. While different alliances will behave differently, I'm pretty convinced that most of them will not be territorial. There's little reason to do so.

Exactly!
The mega-Alliances can pump out the faction to gain control of the towns and others have to wait for handouts to get a chance to enter the Elite Missions!
Where is the skill?

FoW and UW are completely different from the Elite missions. TheY are readily available to all players because yes the favor of the gods changes, which allows EVERYONE to be able to go to them, not just a select group

Although it could be a challenge to get into an alliance which controlls the eilte missions. Okay, I can't because I'm the guild leader.
